Thomas Junior Worley, 84, of Oxford, IN passed away at IU Arnett Hospital in Lafayette Thursday July 8, 2021 where he had been a patient since June30. He was born in Bell Farm, KY April 26, 1937, the son of the late Thomas Finley Worley and Alta (Anderson) Worley and attended Oxford High School. Thomas married Joyce Evans in the Oxford Christian Church August 17, 1956 and she survives. He was employed at Essex Wire in Fowler as a supervisor for 20 years, and later worked for Benton County Schools as a custodian at Benton Central for 15 years. Thomas loved his family; a good Christian man that provided for his family and served as a positive role model. He enjoyed gospel and bluegrass music, playing the guitar and banjo and singing with his siblings. Thomas loved watching western movies and was an avid gardener. He is survived by his wife, Joyce of Oxford; two daughters, Gayle Lee (Tony) of Oxford and Elaine Kellerhals (Eric) of Kramer; a son, Roger Worley (Janice) of Oxford; two sisters, Karen Datzman (Ron) of Lafayette and Shanda Donahue of Rensselaer. Also surviving are six grandchildren, Michelle Oilar, Maria Noble, Jennifer Montgomery, Nathan Worley, Derek Lee and Laura Lee along with eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Randy Worley and a sister Shirley Hickman Bohart. A private visitation and service will be held at the Hahn-Groeber Funeral Home in Oxford, with interment to follow in Justus Cemetery, Larry McMillan officiating.
